Dropping in on the Tinkers Bridge Drop In

From Wolverton we make our way through Milton Keynes to Tinkers Bridge.

Here Woughton Community Council provides a daily drop in centre for the residents of Tinkers Bridge.

The High Sheriff will be making her way through Milton Keynes
to get from Wolverton to Tinkers Bridge
The centre provides a variety of help for local residents whether they need help and advice on any issues they may be having or they simply need access to a laptop, the centre is there for the residents needs.

As well as running clubs and activities the centre offers help with job searches or completing application forums.

Over the past year many of the centre attendees have help turn what was a concrete slabbed space into a user friendly outdoor area, where children can play and people can enjoy the benefits of gardening.

Here is an example of how the centre has helped one particular resident and can also provide help for others:

"I started using the centre after I retired. In the first few weeks I was encouraged to learn the computer as it [the drop in centre] is also a UK On-Line Learning Centre. I picked it up after a few weeks and now, I am not too bad on one. We also have a garden which I help out in, I've also found lots of new friends here. We also have a job club here where unemployed people can come in and get advice about finding jobs. People with social or personal problems can come in and discuss these issues with our manager Terresa Marshal who will advise them or point them in the right direction."
